After recieving seven nominations for this years Grammy Awards, the London based band “Coldplay” will be taking the stage for the top music awards show on Sunday Feb. 8, 2009.

Album of the Year (for Viva la Vida or Death and All his Friends), Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group (for “Viva la Vida”), Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group (for “Violet Hill”) and Best Rock Album (for Viva la Vida or Death and All his Friends).
Also scheduled so far are Country Star Kenny Chesney, pop band The Jonas Brothers, Rapper Lil Wayne, and singer Katy Perry. Right now Coldplay has #17 song on the Top 20 Modern Song Chart with the hit “Lost“
