One of the true punk bands from the the late 70′s Social Distortion has found their way into the top twenty rock chart with the release of Machine Gun Blues.
The punk rock sound has always been a bit of straight rock guitar riffs and played very loud, but compared to the polished sound of the current studio bands, punk rock almost sounds refreshing, and Social Distortion has shown up at the right time with Machine Gun Blues.
To be a band with a top 20 song has never really been a goal of any punk band, and singer Mike Ness has an unique voice that is made for the Social Distortion tracks, but the high energy music has found a lot of airtime on the radio, so the California punk rockers are now in the mainstream as we head towards the Spring and Summer of 2011.
The band is releasing Hard Times & Nursery Rhymes on January 18th, and you get a listen to all of songs on the new album on their website.
