The Black Keys have been recording since 2002 and they have released more than 10 singles that have just did not seem to have the mix of music and lyrics for the hook/happy pop crowd.
Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney have found the right recipe with Tighten Up and if you have been listening to the cover bands at your local nightclub, then you probably heard the catchy song in one of their sets, this is a sign of how popular The Black Keys song is.
The album “Brothers” has another single to released called “Next Girl” and it already has over 1 million views on YouTube so they are building the momentum when the buzz over Tighten Up has ended.
The duo has been compared the “White Stripes” and they have actually followed the path of Jack White as they have bought a house in Nashville and have landed themselves into the middle of the music recording hotbed. They are not a country band, but Nashville has a lot more to offer than Country Western.
The Black Keys will be spending the first part of 2011 in Australia and Europe and will be heading back to the States in the Summer to tour. They now have a strong following and after having the first #1 of their careers with Tighten Up they can expect to have some strong tickets sales.
